If you are not able to see the malayalam characters properly, it means that you dont have the required unicode fonts installed in the system.
Installing and configuring unicode malayalam fonts(rachana) in windows xp and xp-sp2
Click here to run the font installation program.
Please note that this is an automatic font installation program. If you are using Internet Explorer, please click on "Run Button" of the download dialog box. This will install the fonts in your system.

Click on Languages Tab
Put a tick mark on "Install files for complex script and right to left languages"
Put a tick mark on "Install files for East Asian Languages"

Double click on Display icon in control panel
Click on Appearance tab
Click on Effects button
Put a tick mark on "Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts"
Select "ClearType" from the pull down menu

Enabling support for Indian languages (Indic) on your computer
Windows XP/Vista:
Windows XP/Vista has inbuilt Indian languages features. If you enable these features, you will be able to view the Malayalam pages much better. You must have at least 10 MB of free hard disk space and the Installation Disk of Windows ready, before starting. Please close any open programs.
- Go to Control Panel (from the “Start” button)
- Go to Regional and Language Options
- Click the “Languages” tab
- Check (click) the line marked “Install files for complex scripts and right to left languages (including Thai)”. When you check this line, a new window will appear, which will give a list of languages that will be installed. This list will include ‘Indic’. It will ‘warn’ you that you need at least 10 MB of hard disk space. Click OK to close this window. Then click OK on the Regional and Languages Options window. You will be asked to restart your computer.
Windows 2000

You need to get a unicode font installed on your computer to read Malayalam content on this site. Here is a step-by-step guide to download and install a Malayalam unicode font.
1. CLICK HERE to download the Malayalam unicode font Anjali.ttf to your computer.
2. Go to the Fonts folder: Control Panel> Fonts
3. Then to add font, go to: File> Install New Font. Then show the path of the Anjali.ttf, that you downloaded earlier.
INTERNET EXPLORER USERS
4. Start Internet Explorer
5. Go to: Tools> Internet Options> Fonts> Select Malayalam in Language Script> Select Anjali Old Lipi in Webpage Font
6. Click OK and OK.
MOZILLA FIREFOX USERS

5. Go to: Tools> Options> Content> Select Anjali Old Lipi in Fonts & Colors
